I've been looking for a good but easy dessert recipe. I woke up early today so I decided to give this a try. It was really rich, it's kinda like cold rich chocolate fudge. It only took about 30 min to make as well! Bandie said this was the best dessert I've made! Yay!
Double Layer Chocolate Terrine
The Recipe:
Dark Chocolate Layer:
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate
1/3 cup butter, cut into pieces
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons of brandy
Milk Chocolate Layer:
1 3/4 cup milk chocolate
1/3 cup butter
1) Line 9x5 in loaf pan with plastic wrap.
2) Microwave or heat in pan semi-sweet chocolates and 1/3 cup of butter. Stir until melted and stir in brandy. Cool to room temperature.
3) Whip cream in small mixer until stiff peaks and fold 2 cups of whipped cream into dark chocolate mix. Spoon onto loaf pan and put remaining cream in fridge.
4) Microwave or heat in pan milk chocolate and butter. Stir until melted and cool to room temperature.
5) Fold in the remaining cream and spread over dark chocolate layer. Cool in fridge for 2 hours.
