Recipe from Gay Old Parriiiiii

Bandie Wandie tried petit sale aux lentilles (traditional French pork and lentils stew dish) for the first time at a restaurant in Paris near Etienne Marcel.  He loved the dish, but since it was so so so annoying to go out in Paris and to interact with the medieval-looking Parisians, I ended up making it at home.  Since then, I've made many variations of this dish.  This one is a quick and easy recipe (when you don't have time to slow cook the real pork stuff) that uses ham instead.
Quick and Easy Petit Sale Aux Lentilles
Sorry this pic is arghhhhhhh....Bandie Wandie, seriously, do I have to pay you to take pics?

The Recipe:
2 cans lentils
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 block of ham, cubed
1 potato, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
1 bouquet garni
salt and pepper
3 cups of water
1) In a large saucepan, cook the onions and garlic, add in the ham, cook for 3 min.
2) Add in water and add in bouquet garni when water boils.
3) Simmer for 20 min and add in the potato and carrot.  Cook until soft.
4) Add one can of lentils (water drained) and put the other can of lentils in blender and blend.
5) Add blended lentils into pan and add salt and pepper.
