Yes we do live in Japan. Yes we do eat Japanese food. (although it is the first din din post of a Japanese dish and the name of the dish sounds soooo American) It is an authentic Japanese dish that satisfies my manly man Bandie Wandie.
Teriyaki Fish with Rice (Buri no Teriyaki)
The Recipe:
4 Filets of Yellowtail (any kind of white fish works)
Marinade for the fish: 2 tablespoons of sake, 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Teriyaki sauce: 2 tablespoons of sugar, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 4 tablespoons of mirin
1) Mix marinade in bowl and marinate fish for about 20 min.

3) Pat dry the fish with a paper towl, oil skillet and fry the fish until browned.
Pour over the teriyaki sauce and let it simmer for about 7 min.

My first comment will have to be in regard to this dish.
TABESASETE!!! I love BURI!!!!! My sad attempt to make buri daikon has scarred me. It melted so it was like some drange daikon fish soup.
