Pasta Experiment

Bandie Wandie is back!!! Yay!
While I was waiting today, I tried to make some ravioli.
I've been dreaming about making homemade truffle ravioli that I had on Valentine's Day at the restaurant Furutoshi in Nishi Azabu.  My ravioli obviously didn't come out like the ones at furutoshi, but it was ok for my first time.

Homemade Ravioli with Meat Filling

Rolled out dough...
The meat filling....
The Recipe:
For the pasta:
1 cup semolina flour
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs

1) Mix together dry ingredients and make a well.
2) Drop eggs and olive oil into well.
3) Blend slowly and work dough.  Knead for about 10 min until the dough is smooth.
4) Put dough in fridge for one hour.
5) Cut dough into 4 sections and roll out each section with rolling pin.  (roll pretty thin, I made mine too thick).
6) Put filling on 2 of the sections and cover with other two.  Cut out into squares.
7) Cook in boiling water for about 4 min.  Add with your favorite pasta sauce.

For meat filling:
200 grams of ground beef
1 clove garlic
1 cup onion diced
1 teaspoon oregano, parsley, thyme
salt and pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
1 egg

1) In a greased pan, cook onion and garlic until brown.  Add the meat and seasoning.
2) Drain oil from the beef mixture put in bowl with egg and parmesan.  Mix well.
