Cream Cheese Brownies

So here's my first food post.  I made cream cheese brownies for the first time.  I think they were a bit under baked since I still haven't figured out my new oven.  But with whip cream, it was pretty good!

Here's the recipe:
Brownie Batter:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Cream cheese batter:
1/2 cup cream cheese
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 170 c degrees. Grease and flour 21 cm square pan.

Make cream cheese batter:  Using electric mixer beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy.  Add 1/4 cup sugar until well blended.  Add flour and vanilla and set aside.

Make brownie batter:  In a large saucepand melt 1/2 cup butter.  Remove from heat and add sugar, eggs, vanilla.  Beat in cocoa, flour, salt and baking powder.

Spread 2/3 of brownie batter in pan.  Pour cream cheese mixture on top.  Spoon remaining brownie batter on top.  With a knife gently swirl forming marble design.  Bake for about 30 min.  Cool in pan on rack and cut into squares.  Enjoy!

ok. this is bandie. heres my first comment on my lovely wife's lovely blog about her lovely food.

hey chanzie! love you!

ok. i'd say when i first had these brownies i would score them a 6. a little too melty and not sweet enough. but 2 days later, i just ate 4 in 2 minutes and now score them a 9. theyre f ing delicious! i think sitting out for awhile solidified them so i can pick them up without them breaking, hence no plate. i hate plates. plates are for fancy people in their mansions. with their little dogs that eat off little plates.

ok. these brownies rock. make them now.
