Yay Italian Night! Bandie Wandie's fav pasta dish!
Since I've been sucking taking pics, I tried something new.
Is it more artistic?...arghhhh

1/2 pack of pasta (any kind you like)
6 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 1 cup small diced onion
3 tablespoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
1 cup canned tomato sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste
200g shrimp peeled and deveined with tails removed
1 chicken breast
2 tablespoons white wine
1 teaspoon salt, plus more for pasta water
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1) Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, and place the pasta in the pot. Cook for 5 minutes and then drain; pasta will be only partially cooked.
2) Set pan over medium heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the onions to the pan and cook until lightly caramelized, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add the garlic to the pan and saute, about 30 seconds. Add the red pepper flakes and saute.
3) Add shrimp and chicken and white wine. Saute for about 4 min.
4) Add tomato sauce and tomato paste. Cook the sauce for about 10 minutes.
5) Add the partially cooked pasta to the pan, cook about 4 minutes. Season the pasta with the salt.
6) Garnish with the parsley. Toss to combine and serve with grated Parmesan.
